Welcome. It will be a pleasure to assist you.

Anonymous Anonymous I've faced the same problem. When I debug using firebug, I see two extra codes like at the top of the tag. I know that UTF-8 with BOM, add two extra bytes to mark it as UTF-8. But, I didn't make the connection before reading it from you. I was using Notpad++ to edit code, and it create new file as UTF-8 with BOM. After converting the file as UTF-8 without BOM (or ANSI) the problem is solved. Tue, Aug 14 2012 Anonymous Anonymous Hi guys. Thanks. I had the same problem and changing encoding in notepad++ to UTF-8 without BOM helped me. It drove me crazy, I almost thought I am unable to work with simple HTML :). Tricky thing it is! Fri, Sep 7 2012 Anonymous Anonymous Thanks for taking the time to explain how to remove the extra space created by using a php include. This issue was driving me nuts for a few days. Like the other folks commenting, I was saving the include file as UTF-8 (in Notepad++), and this was causing extra space between certain divs and paragraphs. I changed the file encoding to ANSI, saved it and solved the problem... but it wasn't till I read your post that it finally made sense! Thanks again!
